I'm in SF, hanging with Hec and Emmett in the Haight, having ditched the fam in Golden Gate Park. We're having coffee and playing pool and posting from the rental iMac at the Rockin' Java. Later on I'm meeting up with more SFistas for Afghani dinner stylings. Yesterday was the Bay cruise and Alcatraz pass-by. Yes, having a jacket in August in SF is a good thing when the wind gets blowing and the fog rolls in.

Having a sleeping bag with sleeves works well, too, if you're anywhere west of Van Ness. Down jackets sell reeeeeeeeeeeeeally well here.

BWAH! True. My sister and BIL are up on Potrero Hill, with a major west and south view from their sundeck, and it's normal to see Twin Peaks, off to the West, being devoured by Giant Mutant Fog Monsters, while there are naked people sunbathing on their roofs off to the south, a few blocks away.

Vegas in May can be quite nice. It can also be quite hot. Vegas is more of a crap shoot in that department than most places.
I've been to Vegas in the middle of August and it was still a load of fun. The temps were well into the 100's but all the Casinos were comfy.
I wanna go to Quarks with Buffistas and order a table full of Warp Core Breaches....they can even be gold plated. Hell, they can be pure gold with gold for the ice cubes for all I care.
