You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

If public transit is in anyway a plus, Phoenix is right out, anyways. We have city buses that run till ten. Full stop. I should be able to get hotel rooms by the buttload, though. But we're kind of spread out...no, majorly. Mill is cool, but it's about twenty minutes from downtown/the airport. Downtown has nice hotels, but is very much dead at night. I have a hotel right down the street but the area where I live is not close to any sights at all. Should I do a pimp or not? The weather in May is in general pretty damn unpleasant...hence cheap rooms/off-season. There is an upside to us not being cool, though. Hotel people will probably be our slaves. And I can pretend y'all just needed to see me that much.

Our wings are not tired

I'd say totally pimp away erika. I'd love to see a city with nice cheap hotel rooms in the mix. Last year we had KC and Minneapolis which both had the options of sub $100 rooms. If we could get off season rooms in Pheonix at something like $69-$89 a night I think it would be a major selling point.

Ok, well, I thought we had three and that was enough, but I bet hotels in May=very cheap. And, um, our zoo's nice. (Can't remember when summer rates start, but... will check.)

I would love to see Phoenix.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I wouldn't rule out Phoenix. It isn't like LA or NOLA win any prizes for public transportation.

What they said, erika.

erika, it is a nice zoo. Too bad it's not at Christmas when they have the pretty lights up.

Do you know how far Sedona is from Phoenix? I've heard it can be an interesting visit. I can't imagine any public transit reaching that far, but maybe a couple of vans could be rented to stuff people in for those who are willing to brave the daytime heat.
