Disneyland does occasionally run special admission prices for folks with an ID with a southern california zip code. It's only in the off season, and it's not every year. The tend to do it when admission numbers are dipping.
There are I think three varieties of season passes for the Mouse House starting at around $100/yr. The cheap one has pretty much all the weekends blacked out, and then the prices usually run up to around $250 do get 356 day a year access. Last I checked Magic Mountain's parking was $10 and Disneyland is at least that.
Huh.
Fun isn't cheap anymore.
SURE it is. Just not Chez Walt. I can be lots of fun, and I'm cheap.
...that didn't come out quite the way I'd intended. Huh.
Damn. Damn. Damn. I really want to go to another F2F. Any idea what the dates are? I mean, I know I likely can't make it, but - yeah. Any idea? I could maybe claim it was a cousin's wedding. Or, or, something. Um.
Sigh.
'Cause it's not going to coincide with school holidays, is it?
pouts
Fay, we're about to vote on the dates. I think. So, when would you be able to come, potentially?
Disney World has special rates for Florida residents. They have a really good deal on a year long pass, you can't use it during peak summer weekends but it's good at all the parks.
Oh,
damn
it. Don't have a timetable to hand.
Arse.
But I kind of hate Disney anyhow.
I'll take this another step and say that I hate disney a lot. I'm not saying that it would be dealbreaker if Jilli or Nilly (ha, that rhymes) were involved, but I'm not a fan of The Mouse.
I've conferenced in Anaheim, and other than the Big D, there's not a lot going on there. Except the Crystal Cathedral. And even that, ehhh.
I think the more metro areas discussed would be better for the F2F. Also, Anaheim is pretty close to LA, the last west coast F2F.
The Disneyland talk is about the annual F2F? I'd think that if San Diego's too close to LA, this is even more so.
Also, a peculiar sort of hell for some of the potential attendees.
A long, long time ago, I stayed at a Hyatt near D-land.
I remember the hotel being nice. But it was a business trip, so no visit (though I did drive by the front gate early in the morning).
The Disneyland talk is about the annual F2F?
I thought that's why it was brought up. I could be wrong though. More ideas rather than a fevered pitch, though.
