Kaylee: H-how did you... g-get on...? Early: Strains the mind a bit, don't it? You think you're all alone. Maybe I come down the chimney, Kaylee. Bring presents to the good girls and boys.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

F2F 2008 should be in Dubailand.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The combination of the eco-tourism attraction blurb and the Jurassic Park-style dinosaur illustration is not filling me with confidence about how well thought out that venture is.

Dubailand is freaking me out a little.

CNN International has been nothing but ads for Dubailand for months. I would say that every time you buy gas, you contribute to the luxury of Dubailand, but actually I think most of their money comes from shipping.

But hey, assuming we'll have Iraq all squared away by then...

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

When I worked for Maurice Strong, back in 1980 in London, I had a few hard, unbreakable rules for travel: I did not travel anywhere that I personally defined as a war zone. I did not go anywhere where the official government was a fundamentalist religion of any faith whatsoever. And I didn't go anywhere that had special dress codes for women. I had no desire to be flogged to death in someone's town square for strangling some man with a chador.

All things considered, I'm thinking Dubailand, not so much...

and yet, you live in the US now during this administration...

I was here before they took over the government.

Believe me, I'm working on it....

Dubai doesn't actually meet your criteria...UAE's a secular federal government. Yes, they are 96% Muslim, but the Islamic courts only try religious issues, not everything. They are one of the most liberal and relaxed of Muslim countries. Women don't have to wear chadors, in fact there isn't a dress code. And there's no war there. Our ambassador to the UAE is a woman, in fact. (Although we sort of make a point of sending female ambassadors to Middle Eastern countries)

And I looked it up - even though Dubai is a shipping Mecca (sorry), most of their GDP is in fact from oil and gas.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Believe me, I'm working on it....

Can you work a little faster? My burqa fitting is next week.
