It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

and yet, you live in the US now during this administration...

I was here before they took over the government.

Believe me, I'm working on it....

move out and draw fire

Dubai doesn't actually meet your criteria...UAE's a secular federal government. Yes, they are 96% Muslim, but the Islamic courts only try religious issues, not everything. They are one of the most liberal and relaxed of Muslim countries. Women don't have to wear chadors, in fact there isn't a dress code. And there's no war there. Our ambassador to the UAE is a woman, in fact. (Although we sort of make a point of sending female ambassadors to Middle Eastern countries)

And I looked it up - even though Dubai is a shipping Mecca (sorry), most of their GDP is in fact from oil and gas.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Believe me, I'm working on it....

Can you work a little faster? My burqa fitting is next week.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Debet, if you're around, can you re-send the info you sent me on previous F2F's to stonewilbanks AT comcast DOT net? My gmail is down, leaving me unable to access all kinds of things I hadn't bothered to download yet, since gmail is so reliable.....

If you hold one end, I'll hold the other, and we can strangle a few people with it....

Raquel, sorry, I wasn't clear - it was hark-back to the early eighties. One of my co-workers got into trouble in Dubai and we added it to the list of "no thanks, not worth the trouble."

Of course, if we're thinking of holding one on Corfu, I'm in.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Corfu always makes me think of Katharine Hepburn. (This should not be taken as a vote against.)

What is even happening?

Corfu always makes me think of Katharine Hepburn. (This should not be taken as a vote against.)

Anything that makes me think of Kate is a plus in my book.

Corfu always makes me think of Katharine Hepburn.

Corfu always makes me think of Gerald Durrell.
