I've already asked this, above: the question of whether Prom has to be onsite is a biggie, period.
Ah. Ok. I don't think it needs to be on-site, is the consesus. But easily accessable. As far as by taxi/limo only, I think that needs a decision from the group.
3) Of course. And I wouldn't ask you not to.
4) Ah, I see. So,
question to the group: How accessible to the hotel does the Prom need to be?
However, even if we are able to save money on Prom, I want an ok from the group as a whole before we up the limit on room price. (It'll be nice once we have the date vote, so we can have so idea on what a quorum of potential attendees is)
Debet, I'm with you: a consensus is a good thing, and a quorum, and all the good stuff. (Not being snarky - I'm just using a kind of shorthand.) Also, totally in agreement that Prom should be easily reachable from the hotel.
BTW, what Aimee asked - I could use that breakdown as well, just for comparison costs.

I don't think the prom needs to be onsite. Just wheelchair accessible.
I'm uncomfortable with anything beyond walking distance from the hotel.
Deb, you want the IFB? It's quite helpful, I'm finding.

Please don't take this as criticism, because it's NOT -- I have a horrible memory, and so I'm just asking out of curiosity:
When did the group select the official price limit on the rooms? (I'm happier with less expensive, so this isn't a complaint; it's just my crappy memory.)
Woot! Plei, if it ends up being SF, are you guys coming? If so, you've got yourself a chauffeuse for the entire trip, no matter what else happens.

Yes'm.
Yes'm.
I'll send this to you and then send a new one once I get the NOLA info.

Because of drinking/driving concerns?
I live in NYC -- this concern is alien to me. Or is it another concern?
Deb, insent. And no snark read into it.
Teppy, the group didn't. It was something I gleaned from conversations at verious times over the past year or so, as something that needed addressed. So, basically, it's a starting point. If the collective we decide to up it, that's cool. It is a kind of fiat, yes. (I would like to wait until after the date vote, so we know how big The Group is to change any of the place stuff.)
