Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Deb, that sounds fab.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Heh, I think the people who'd be saddest about the no/little internet access would be the peeps not attending who wait for updates and photos. I say from experience.

Yeah, my first F2F was DC. And I wasn't there. But I felt like I almost was, the F2F thread was a-hoppin' so much with accounts and pictures and it made me feel almost a part of it. With NOLA, not so much. Which was in a way a good thing for me since I was really busy with my thesis and all, but I still missed the craziness of last year.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I think the reason that no internet access was such a common complaint this year is that it had been promised, and then turned out not to exist. If we knew in advance that the hotel wouldn't have wireless (or would only have dial-up, etc etc), I think we could deal with it

I disagree, strongly. If people want pictures posted during the festivities, we need broadband, for example.

Would anyone disagree with a poll (after dates and cities have been locked in, of course) to find out how many people are planning on attending?

Because of the way the city voting will be set up (Hell yes, I'll go there; Sure, why not; Nope), we should have a tentative, but not baseless, count from the start. The poll-right-before-drop-dead may be useful, but that would depend on the arrangement we have with the hotel, IMO.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Are we going to vote city first or date first? Because at this point, date is more of a deciding factor than city for me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That does sound great, Deb. Very curious about what the flat rate might turn out to be.

That place looks a bit like DS9.

Oh, that is too cool, Jessica.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I like Jessica's idea. But next year is a little soon.
