Hmmm, so which of the aforementioned folks was it that Scott was raising an eyebrow over hearing so much about, again?
Meeep! And the person I arguably talked to the most, that night, the velvet voice, himself, Matt the Bruins Fan. I've also met Jen.
I'd love to nominate Greece, because I think it could be really cool. There's a cruise line that does 3 islands (Crete, Rhodes, and someplace else I forget) starting Friday and returning Sunday. You sail while you sleep (or party on board, as the case may be) so daytime is all about exploring the islands.
But sadly, I just don't see any way to make the trip affordable for anybody, even me. So I'll not nominate it, and wait to vote on the other noms.
Edit: although it would be close for Nilly and maybe Fay, depending on her future whereabouts.
If I win the lottery, F2F 2006 in Greece is on me.
a Bellevue hotel
No. Please no. Not Bellevue. gnnnng.
Signed, commutes to the damn Eastside every day and does not like it one bit, and also considers Bellevue to be bland and soulless, and not in the fun, leather-pants-wearing way.
Well, I'd say Bellevue is slightly more soul-having than Seatac, but I'm happy to limit it to the city limits.
Well, I'd say Bellevue is slightly more soul-having than Seatac,
SeaTac is soulless because all that's there are strip malls and hotels. Bellevue is Stepford. Complete with perky, probably-robotic soccer moms wandering about.
(Yes, I have not just issues, but complete subscriptions and archived collections about Bellevue. Sorry.)
Totally understood. I only suggested it because I already have a connection with the hotel, which could possibly be exploited for good treatment.
Since there isn't, I suppose, that much to discuss wrt dates, this is my initial hotel deal-breaker list. That is, if the hotel does not meet these specifications, don't even bother telling us about it. I'm going to assume these are ok unless people say otherwise.
- Rooms must be available in the hotel for under $100
- High-Speed Internet must be available in the room
- The hotel must have easy access (through proximity or public transit) to things to do
- Easy Handicapped access, especially to Hospitality Suite and Prom Room
Hiya.
Just wanted to throw in my two cents from my experience coordinating the hotel this year. I'm here for questions, and I will be a Left Coast-ista myself for this year's F2F. I don't have the least bit of interest in being the coordinator again, however.
FTR, I'm still trying to get some money back from the NOLA hotel that was never refunded. When I succeed, I'll toss it into the pot for next year.
I'm 99% gray for the foreseeable future, but I am checking my email.
