Since there isn't, I suppose, that much to discuss wrt dates, this is my initial hotel deal-breaker list. That is, if the hotel does not meet these specifications, don't even bother telling us about it. I'm going to assume these are ok unless people say otherwise.
- Rooms must be available in the hotel for under $100
- High-Speed Internet must be available in the room
- The hotel must have easy access (through proximity or public transit) to things to do
- Easy Handicapped access, especially to Hospitality Suite and Prom Room
Hiya.
Just wanted to throw in my two cents from my experience coordinating the hotel this year. I'm here for questions, and I will be a Left Coast-ista myself for this year's F2F. I don't have the least bit of interest in being the coordinator again, however.
FTR, I'm still trying to get some money back from the NOLA hotel that was never refunded. When I succeed, I'll toss it into the pot for next year.
I'm 99% gray for the foreseeable future, but I am checking my email.
Also easy handicap access to rooms, including the HS and wherever prom may be held.
Oh, Debet, in other F2F news, I'm sorry I haven't emailed you back yet about July. I'm beyond overwhelmed right now, but I'll email you as soon as I can.
Kristin, no big. I'll be getting to Baltimore the weekend of the 15th, and anytime that next week is equally easy, at this point.
In total unrelated to F2F 2006 posting, for those folks who've expressed interest in ringing in the new year in Vegas I'm planning on arriving in Vegas on Friday and leaving on Monday, so that would be the 30th to the 2nd. I'm not sure what hotel I'm booking myself into yet, but if folks stay on the strip then it's really simple to move between hotels and hook up. I'm thinking about The Venetian or maybe Paris.
Hey Trudes. I'm braindead and overwhelmed at the moment--just got off the plane again. Promise we can make plans soon, k?

ETA: Unless something unexpected happens, I am totally in for Vegas.
