Up with the sun

It's locked, SA.

(BTW, I sent you a card, though it looks like I mailed it a few days too late for you to get it before you left Wales. So, watch for it in January, I guess.)

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Whoops! I didn't know it did that. That's bad. But, new link, anyway.

Thanks, Lyra. I'll look for it when I swing through Wales, then.

Hey folks. I'm feeling slightly better today, but still far from actually well. Stupid stomach bug. I'm really bummed that I couldn't make it to Somerville yesterday! I hope you all had an awesome time. (Jon, were you able to find someone to take my ticket? If not, let me know and I'll send off a check to you.) I'm sad to have missed not only Drew, but Ellen too! I haven't seen her in something like a year and a half. As well as the McWarnigles, whom I met only very briefly AGES ago, and Jon, Connie, DX, and Kristin. Very sad now. (Kristin, thanks again for your incredibly kind offer to come and pick me up. I really appreciated it.)

SA, lucky you, getting to meet Am-Chau and all. Did you meet up with Fay like you had planned? Isn't travel-by-Buffistas the best way to go?

All of your ND are belong to me.

I had so much fun last night (sorry Kate...)! Jon B. did a fabulous job with the Illuminations trolley tour (and even managed to mix in a Bronski Beat joke, which I believe went over the heads of most of the 80-year olds on the tour). I met FAQ Girl, who I liked very much, and got to hang at Theodosia's house with the McWarnigles, DX (giver of directions into Somerville), Ellen, Nutty, and ND. Afterwards, ND and I drove back to my place and are now about to go find food.

This post brought to you by the parentheses.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

SA, that's a lovely picture of two very lovely women! Thanks for posting it.

Our wings are not tired

So just an update. I'm not going to come into NYC until Monday. There's a storm headed towards Kristin's place and it would be a race to catch the train and all that stuff so I'm spending one more night here. I should be in NYC tomorrow around noonish. I'm staying with a non-Buffista friend (Gasp! The horror!) but don't have any real plans until Trivia in the evening. So, if anyone wants to hook up with nonbuffista!dave and I on Monday, please do, we're planning to get into trouble somewhere in Manhattan.

My cell and other contact info is in my profile.

Did you guys end up going to the S&S?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Okay, you people might get Kristen. You might get Drew.

I beat you all hands down, as I get the Fay.

We've had a terrifically eventful two days, beginning with the airport and ending in her hometown. While I wouldn't classify them as "unfortunate events," exactly, they've been colourful. They've involved livejournal meetups, beer, and gaping head wounds. As well as free books! And lost comics. There have been planes, trains, and automobiles; teh gay, teh not-so-gay, and the amusing as hell; tons of fannish discussion, resulting in amusing looks from those around us; and quite a bit of ham.

I wouldn't change a damn thing. I promise we'll put up pictures soon.
