Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I just saw ENIAC.

Jealous!

JEALOUS!

Our wings are not tired

They also had a video from what seemed like the early 90's that featured Steve Wozniak! Way cool.

There was also a DEC PDP-8, and a Westinghouse Univac.

I was in geek heaven!

I can't even.

There was also a DEC PDP-8

This was the first computer I encountered at school. We used it to play Lunar Lander and Star Trek and it blew our pipsqueak minds.

They also had a difference engine.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

That technology exhibit is incredibly cool. They've got an Enigma! Several of them! A three-wheel and a four-wheel! Though the "Discover the Internet!" section needs some major work. (Or, y'know, an internet connection that actually works.)

Oh, and one of the displays talks about actuaries.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Where is this actuary exhibit? Do they also have an exhibit on the history of paint drying?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hee. My assistant's fiance is a chemical engineer, and her job could literally be summed up as watching paint dry.

It's not an entire exhibit. Rather part of the information age exhibit has a display that includes adding machines and the like and actuaries are mentioned.
