F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
So, apparently I have to move by the end of the month, which impacts y'all only in that I cannot afford to take time off from work, so no fun Zoo Cruise type stuff on Friday for me. Until after 4pm, anyway. Oh, Saturday there's a "Festivals of Asia" thing at the zoo. I'm not sure what that means.
All the food looks good. As part of my long-standing anti-egg agenda, I don't eat quiche, but as long as it isn't wall-to-wall quiches and nothing else, I'm good.
Hear ye, hear ye... I have a preliminary menu! Remember, our goal was to have nibblies and drinks and yet reach our minimum of $1500...so here's what I came up with. What do you think?

I have gotten info from about 8 people in terms of when you're arriving etc. (see here KristinT "Sunnydale Press" May 4, 2005 12:10:28 pm PDT for more info). If you haven't done so yet, could you? Thanks! -t has contacted me and said she'll still handle the master list, so I'll be forwarding everything to her.
I'm looking for volunteers to bring some kind of bulletin board thingy where we can leave messages and such in the hospitality suite (maybe someone local like -t or Heather?) as well as a map of the area and any other touristy things that might be useful. I'm hoping to coordinate with someone local on Thursday so I can get the hospitality suite all set up for Friday. We have it from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. I'd also like to post a list of everyone's name and cell phone numbers in the HS during our stay so we can find each other, if that's okay with you all.
Laura, you're still bringing the DVD/VCR, right? If anyone has a DVD or VHS they think we should have for the weekend, please bring it along! We'll doubtless meet for cartoons and brain dead time on Saturday and on Sunday.
Also, ND and I both have to leave on Sunday, so I'm looking for a volunteer to take over the HS and make sure it's all cleaned out by its "check-out" time (2ish). I'll need to have paid for it before I leave (I'll be leaving the hotel by 8ish that morning...ick). I know some people are staying through Monday, so maybe you'd want to make your room the new HS after that point? Anyone? Bueller?
I think there's more, but my brain is all 'splody.
IMPORTED CHEESE MIRROR
They have a MIRROR MADE OF CHEESE?! Damn, I wish I could see that.
I can do the hospitality suite.
I have a bulletin board/white board thing, but it's not very big. I'd be happy to bring it, though.
The menu looks great Kristin!
What are we doing for a PA during the Prom? I can bring my theremin if people want, but I'll need either an amp or a line into the PA to play it. ND?
Oh, I'm so very jealous! Kristin, everything looks wonderful. You're doing such an amazing job. You and ND.
*sniff*
Debet, thank you! Yes, I'll gladly take you up on both offers. If you could just bring the board to the HS once you get in on Friday, that would be perfect.
Jon, ND was investigating the PA situation last I checked. I'll ping him again today. Also, I'm very glad you like the menu.
VW, I'm all sniffly that you can't be there, too!
P-C, we'll be sure to take a picture of the cheese mirror.
Kristin, ND, you seem to have left me off both lists ... I AM coming!
