I have a feeling Weremonkeyfest is going to be larger than the F2F.
Sigh.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

I have that same feeling, and that same sigh.

Yep, me too.
I guess it was just time for family committments/jobs/money woes to torpedo a lot of folks' attendance plans. Truth to tell, the last should be knocking me out of the running too if I were being fiscally responsible, but I pimped for New Orleans too hard to back out of going. (Plus, only vacation of any length I have planned for the year, so vitally important to my plans for avoiding a spectacle involving clock towers...)
It makes me sad too, but I am looking forward to meeting those who can make it.
I am totally jealous and utterly hating our fiscal fuckeditude. I can't even begin to say how much I wanted to experience NO with the Buffistas, and it really seems that the group who will be showing up will be small but exceedingly choice.
I can'tb eve3n type how sorry I am not to see you and Hec, JZ. Really, I can't. Squrmy puppy in my lap is making it impossible. I think I'll take him on errands to wear him out.
I'm sad people aren't going to make it, but I'm not blaming anyone or anything. It's just a bit of a bummer. We are totally going to have a blast, though!
I would have loved to come to the F2F, but it's just not financially feasible for me at the moment with the whole saving to buy a house because I can't stand renting/sharing a building anymore thing with New Added Car Payment and Ridiculously More Expensive Insurance due two car accidents within as many months. My fun budget is incredibly limited.
Whereas WMF will likely involve little more than gas money and a case of something to share, which is a lot more doable at the moment.
I am definitely sorry I'm going to miss out on a chance to party with Buffistas in NO, though.

Now you know how I felt (and still feel) about missing your wedding.
