I'm sad people aren't going to make it, but I'm not blaming anyone or anything. It's just a bit of a bummer. We are totally going to have a blast, though!
F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
I would have loved to come to the F2F, but it's just not financially feasible for me at the moment with the whole saving to buy a house because I can't stand renting/sharing a building anymore thing with New Added Car Payment and Ridiculously More Expensive Insurance due two car accidents within as many months. My fun budget is incredibly limited.
Whereas WMF will likely involve little more than gas money and a case of something to share, which is a lot more doable at the moment.
I am definitely sorry I'm going to miss out on a chance to party with Buffistas in NO, though.
I am totally jealous and utterly hating our fiscal fuckeditude. I can't even begin to say how much I wanted to experience NO with the Buffistas
Now you know how I felt (and still feel) about missing your wedding.
Those of us who are attending will each have a party proxy for a non-attendee. We will party twice as hard on their behalf.
edited hours later for typo
I like this plan.
I can either proxy for 2 or someone who partys pretty hard.
So who is going to be the Perkygoth proxy? This will involve looking at pretty black clothes, hats, and eating beignets.
...I have a new corset...? I don't think that counts. I can be a Perkygoth wannabe proxy, if you'd like!
Count me in on hating my financial situation (say it with me, now: "get a new job, Kate!"). I really hate that I can't make it to the F2F this year. But I totally want a proxy! It would mostly involve trawling the used bookstores and record stores, and then eating and drinking as much and as cheaply as possible.
I think at this point I can just be the universal drinking proxy.
