Mal: Gotta say, doctor, your talent for alienatin' folk is near miraculous. Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

Our wings are not tired.

At least a discussion with the hotel on making the change. I don't know the details of the contract. I've enjoyed the last few Proms very much, but the smaller outings were the most fun. Lounging around the HS and nattering F2F also a big hit with me.

Another unknown is how many last minute folks might be attending. Or those attending but haven't been to the thread recently to add their name to the list.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Should someone stick something in press, asking who else is going or thinks they might go?

Yes, there may well be more last minutes and things like that, but we are still not even half way to the $2500 mark needed for this event. I can see maybe a dozen more folks coming out of the woodwork, but do we really think that 30 to 40 more people are going to turn up last minute?

I'll ping Kristin and have her check with the hotel and find out what our options are.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think one of the funniest moments was when we were at the Italian restaurant and you rather graphically described what you wanted to do the first time you saw Spike on Buffy. The look from the man behind you was comedy gold. And he kept on stealing looks at you the rest of the way through dinner

I missed this too! There is too much to pay attention to in a group of buffistas.

Well, shit. Time keeps getting away from me and I suck, but I'm going to see what I can pull together when I get home from work tonight. For me, money isn't the issue so much as getting time off.

Regardless, will donate to fund tonight.

And like Dana, prom isn't a big part of my F2F experience, so if it has to be cancelled, so be it.

Hey, I just made a snap decision to make a quick trip to Chicago Sunday. Would any night owl Chicago-istas be interested in meeting for drinks or a late supper after 10:30 that night, or for breakfast the following Monday morning?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I could probably manage a drink or two, depending on where you are.

Sadly, haven't been able to produce any of that since, what, January?

God, that's really sad.
