But honestly, I don't even have enough money to buy a new pair of glasses right now. It's not even one of those deals where we're cautiously going over our accounts and choosing to be frugal. It's just not there right now.
DX, we were both so looking forward to it as well, the drinks and your good good company. We will miss everyone horribly. Next time we actually meet, drinks are on us (provided Emmett's mom has a steady job by that time and we're not all in the poorhouse).

All right. In the interests of Jessica's Non-Mope-atorium, I will just reiterate the virtues of going to Bacco's lunch special where you can get lobster ravioli in butter sauce, topped with caviar and 25 cent martinis.
In the interests of totally destroying the mope and replacing it altogether with drool, I must note that Hec is wrong in calling it butter sauce. It is in fact champagne-cream sauce with caviar sprinkled on top.

The lobster itself was pretty rich. Also there was a certain point where my critical faculties dissolved into pleasurable groans.
I know it's been a factor for me - I'm planning to call on Friday, so that the room will come out of the middle of the month check.
Ditto here, I've been holding out for tax refunds (the big one has now come in) and word from potential roomies. But barring difficulties on the hotel's end, I'll have a room reserved by the 16th.
I'm going to be reserving a room for Thursday and Friday nights, and I might just reserve for Saturday as well even though I won't be there in case someone needs one later in the game and the rate's gone up - I can always cancel the last night if need be. Happy to share on any of those nights.
