It's in two foreign languages. Which I can translate just fine, but they are just HINTS. And I can't get the exact response anymore (keep in mind, I probably last used it a year ago, and set it 4 or so.)

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I'm a damned moron. Can't figure this sucker out, damnit.
The most recent upgrade (2.0.0.1) broke a lot of themes, so if you're using a non-default theme, that may be the source of the problem.
Well, I wasn't using a theme, and I did upgrade to 2.0.0.1, and it's unfortunately still happening. But I'm thisclose to wiping the damn thing and starting over with Kubuntu as the primary bootable drive anyway, so I'm just going to grit my teeth and deal with it until I have a new shiny video iPod and time enough to start the whole game over again.
Funny how I never have these problems with my mac.
Are you using any other add-ons? Because once the theme I use was fixed, everything's worked fine.
Yeah, quite a few; but the problem was still happening when I loaded the program in Safe Mode. It wasn't happening in 1.5, and I wish there was an easy way to downgrade, but it seems more trouble than it's worth.
You can reset the password if you boot the machine from the OS X system disk.
ND beat me to the answer I was going to give.
Is there some absurdly simple way to change the default bookmark folder into which new bookmarks are, err, foldered? In Firefox?
it randomly just decides not to load pages.
Ok, I'm almost afraid to respond, since I'm so very not techy, but in the hopes that a "from the mouths of babes" kind of think might help, I've found that Firefox sometimes decided that links aren't safe. Usually it gives me a bar across right below the tabs telling me so, like when it blocks popups. If I right click on the bar, I can choose to turn the links back on. I'm not sure why this happens some times and not others, or why the bar seems to be invisibile until the point where I'm tearing my hair out. Perhaps something can be done with Preferences?

That happens (although I seem to have lost the bar on my Firefox 1.5 install at home), and the adblock extension will disable links as well.

Not particularly simple, but not super difficult, either: [link]
