So, My 20 Gig harddrive is almost full. Iffin I want more memory, can I just buy another 20 gigs of memory and pop it in? Or do I have to get a whole new harddrive and reinstall? And how much should one pay for more memory anyway?

You can add a second harddrive, although it's not quite as simple as just plugging it in. A 120 GB harddrive can be had for under $100 US.
What kind of computer, and what operating system?

Should be a fairly easy installation, then. The drive will come with instructions. (Maxtor's are very good. I presume other brands will be similar.) Just shop around for a good price, and buy the biggest drive you can afford.

A long long time ago when I worked for Egghead software I was constantly explaining the difference between RAM and Hard Drive. It's one of those things that glossed over and folks don't quickly grasp. The main reason is that they are both measured in the same manner and thus folks think they are the same thing.
