How do you delete songs or whatever off an iPod? I've only been able to delete podcasts and photos by synching them with empty files...no clue how to do it with songs.

Um, okay, actually before I got distracted by iPod questions, I came here to ask for web hosting recs. I've been using GoDaddy, but my account's about to expire and I'm wondering if there are better options. GoDaddy seems to have good up time, but I can never find anything I'm looking for on their site, and they offer a ton of extras I don't need. CheapAss WebHosting is basically what I'm looking for.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Raq -

do you sync? You can uncheck songs, etc. that you don't want on your ipod but these remain on your computer.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Raq, I've been using EHostPros for years with very few problems.

Thrive to spite them

I can't remember how I first made the playlist. But this time I had to make a playlist to get the songs on I wanted and then I go to Edit -> Prefrences ->iPod then click Automatically Update Selected Playlists only and I check the play list I want.

Then I just make changes to the playlist and when I plug in the Nano it automatically updates those changes.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Raq, when you select the ipod in itunes, as if you were selecting the library or a playlist, you should be able to select whatever song you want to delete and hit the delete key. You might check Edit -> Preferences -> ipod and see if the Automatically Update thing is selected, and whether you want to update the ipod manually or automatically.

OK, so it's a one-by-one thing? That I can do. I am wondering why, when I delete the iPod Selection playlist and then ask iTunes for a new playlist, it gives me the same one back.

Thanks, Jessica - I will check them out.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Can folks just throw out a few recommendations for web hosting? MySQL and PHP, good customer service and not costing a fortune are the only criteria....

Actual data transfer to/from the site will be small.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dreamhost

And if you decide to go with them, I'd love it if you'd let my mother's chorus refer you. They could use the money.
