Yurk. I said adapter for the phone. I meant Bluetooth adapter for the PC.
Okay--here's the meat of it:
What do you want to do? Via bluetooth I send files back and forth to and from the phone. That's with the PC. With my Mac I sync the address book and calendars too.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.
I'm in the market for either a digicam or a camcorder. I know we have a bunch of shutterbugs here so I'd like to ask for recommendations.
If I get a digicam, top priorities would be:
- manufacturer with good customer service (not handholding, but good in case it needs warranty repairs)
- good battery life
- decent-sized lcd
- movie mode
- good in low light
If I get a camcorder, top priorities would be:

A nice plus would be if the controls were manual rather than virtual and if the size is compact. For range, I think $250 is the most I'd pay for a digicam and $400 the most I'd pay for a camcorder. Of course I'd rather pay less. I don't need the newest thing. I'm happy with solid performers.
My habits: taking pictures at parties and gigs, taking pictures of plants and architectural details...I'd like to start messing with video and maybe make some videoblogs. The #1 place I'd be taking videos is at gigs so high performance in low light is key.

Weird question: Ok, so this weekend, I moved my PC into the bedroom. (Yes, we have the love that cannot be named.) (No, really, I'm writing a book on summer vaca, and the only AC is in the bedroom -- no, REALLY.)

Anyway, I was wondering....can I set an alrm on my PC? To like wake me up to a certain album or .wav file or something?

There are freebie programs out there that you can download to do that. I'll ask the SO which one he got.
eta: Ah, here. It's called Perfect Alarm, from Celescom. It's free, it lets you pick any .mp3 or .wav or whatever, test the sound for volume, label your alarms. It also functions as a scheduler, where you can set any program to launch at a specific time. Works great.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
My cable modem keeps crapping out today. It has five lights on the front, the middle one is the "data" one, and it's either solid (not flashing) or just off. I unplug the modem, plug it back in, and it comes back to life for a while. The modem has no buttons on it, so unplugging seems to be the only thing I can do? Any ideas? Is this going to become a bigger problem?

Jesse, my cable company recommends leaving it unplugged for over 30 seconds, unplugging everything else as well, and then re-plugging everything, with 30 seconds between each, and making sure to plug in the modem last. That seems to reset things for me for several days or longer. It seems to require more frequent re-setting since I changed cable companies.

I have my modem, and router on a surge protector. Use that as an off switch , and turn it off most nights. Solved a bunch of problems. Hope I'm not setting myself off for future problems by doing this instead of unplugging, but can't see why flicking the off switch on a surge protector won't do the same thing.
