Thanks for that idea. I was using a new disk and I just replaced it with another one and something seems to be happening.

If it doesn't work, take deep breaths and try making a copy to a separate folder on your hard drive first. Then burn the folder.

Thanks for your help last night, guys. It was apparently a defective disk, but since it was brand new, that was probably the last thing I would have thought of without prompting.

You know I don't get bad discs very often anymore, but back in the 4x-8x days there were as many as 5 in 100 or worse.
I wonder how sick of me the CDR makers would be by now if I would have bothered asking for replacements, as per their warrantees?

Compassionately intolerant
In the most unexected of Xmas miracles, a friend gave me his two year old eMac. (he's giving up on Apple...sigh)
It is big and pretty but has no dvd drive. Any recommendations for an external drive I could buy? (cheaper the better)
I still have the 5 year old iMac I'm coming to you on now, but the eMac has a bigger screen...neeaaattt.
Since no tv equals computer=entertainment center...maybe I should just use them both! hm. I wonder if the combined weight will tax my coffeetable/bench?
