"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Anyone know what the current Yen to Dollars exchange rate is?

About $117 to 1 yen according to yahoo.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You mean $1.17 per yen, right? And when that site says a watch is ¥21900, they mean ¥219.00, right?

Or else all those watches are about two million dollars apiece.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

More like ¥117 to $1

OK, that makes sense.

eta: for some reason I thought a yen and a dollar were roughly in the same ballpark....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What do you call an object type definition of which you never intend to have an instance, but rather have created for inheritance purposes?

I've often referred to them as abstract classes.

Abstract! That'll do nicely. Thanks.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Has anyone seen the Gehry watches in stores anywhere? I'd love to take a look at one to see if I could actually wear it.

I saw it today on the wrist of a coworker. It doesn't look quite as good in person, as from an angle you can see the non-illuminated segments as well as the illuminated ones.

The long tabs on the side that hold the band are also a problem, I think, if you have a small wrist. I'm not sure it would fit snugly.

Even so, it's going on my birthday list.
