About $117 to 1 yen according to yahoo.
You mean $1.17 per yen, right? And when that site says a watch is ¥21900, they mean ¥219.00, right?
Or else all those watches are about two million dollars apiece.

That's what I meant. Sorry.
More like ¥117 to $1
OK, that makes sense.
eta: for some reason I thought a yen and a dollar were roughly in the same ballpark....
What do you call an object type definition of which you never intend to have an instance, but rather have created for inheritance purposes?
I've often referred to them as abstract classes.
Abstract! That'll do nicely. Thanks.
Has anyone seen the Gehry watches in stores anywhere? I'd love to take a look at one to see if I could actually wear it.
I saw it today on the wrist of a coworker. It doesn't look quite as good in person, as from an angle you can see the non-illuminated segments as well as the illuminated ones.
The long tabs on the side that hold the band are also a problem, I think, if you have a small wrist. I'm not sure it would fit snugly.
Even so, it's going on my birthday list.

Well, the link goes to Fossil, so I think their stores would have it in stock. Let's see - where's the nearest Fossil store? I know there's one in Gurnee Mills - is there one in Watertower Place?
eta: Yes there is. There's also a store in Woodfield Mall in Schaumberg (if you're ever unfortunate enough to find yourself in Schaumberg).
