Played briefly with iWeb, the newest iLife toy. It's pretty neat - basically, you make simple webpages like you make a keynote presentation, using templates that iWeb provides where you can add your own data, pictures, titles, and cetera. Gives you a directory structure to put on your web host, or it can publish to .mac for you if you have an account.
If I had a bunch of photos in iPhoto, it would be a nice way to create a slideshow for my friends without needing to invest in a flickr account.
This is slightly out there, but does anyone have any experience either selling on eBay as a charitable user, or using auction software/scripts on their site?
Anyone heard of this? [link]
It's open source, which I like, and I'm fairly sure my brother could set it up. On the other hand, eBay seems to donate the seller fees to your charity, so it's hard to find a downside there.

You don't have to pay to use flickr, FTR. Just above certain monthly upload volumes.
No opinions on the digicam thing, huh?
Okay, I have a VGA card. So I don't need a DVI monitor. What's good?
What do you like about the camera, what do you dislike? You can get a digital camera for about that much, and it may give up features that you don't care about. It's almost like shopping from scratch.
Microsoft designs the iPod box.
I hadn't gotten deeply into the camera, but the quality of the photos was good enough for someone like me. I like that it had the option to shoot short video sequences although I hadn't yet explored that. Having a bright display so that you can see the pictures you've already taken is good. This camera was chunky so going thinner wouldn't be bad but it's not absolutely necessary if it means a lot more $.
I own quite a few LCD's and the ones that I prefer are made by Samsung and Viewsonic. On the higher end I love the Apple Cinema Displays and apparently the widescreen Dell displays use the same LCD panels and have the same picture quality.
My last OMG COMPUTER ROCKS for now: I'm downloading some of the 1080p HD trailers from the Apple website right now, and watching them. I actually have to DOWNSCALE these things to see the entire image on the computer's display, and the MacBook plays them back smooth as butter, with room for other apps to be running too.
My Dual 1.8 GHz PowerMac G5 stuttered on these things, guys. The MacBook is faster than it was, at least for this.
So, who wants an iPod?
Um, in exchange for money. A late 3rd Gen 40 Gig model. I just installed a new battery about 2 months ago.
ION, USB 2.0 seems awfully slow when transfering 45 Gig of music to a new iPod....
