thanks Daniel. That's a start.

HBO says it doesn't want to allow its programming to be TIVOed: [link]
I don't think most people realize that when we go to digital TV, networks will have the power to prevent any and all recording (if this legislation goes through). That's right - they wanna plug the analog hole and prevent VCR recordings too....
Dear HBO,
Suck on it.
Love,
Your fans
I cancelled my HBO and my Showtime, don't miss it. If I desire one of their shows I'll just wait and NetFlix the DVDs.

Luckily, HBO repeats its programming like crazy, so you're practically Tivoing just by turning on the television.

Yeah, I did the same, and don't miss it either.
iPod-istas. I need your advice. We have three iPods in our house. We all share a computer that has Windows XP with individual login's for each of us.
Can anyone suggest the best way for us to use iTunes? The girls have been having to go back and forth to see who is logged into iTunes when they want to update and have expressed frustration. Now we are adding my iPod to the mix.
I know from the Tivo forums that I'm not the only one whose Tivo has been cutting off the last few minutes of all network primetime shows this week. I also know that nobody there has figured out what's going on, or what the solution is. Have any clever Buffistas been able to fix this?
It's not Overlap Protection, because if that were the case, it would just be switching channels 5 minutes early -- these are just blank gaps where the Tivo has stopped recording before the end of the show. (And it's not the listings giving out bad info, because the Tivo knows that it's only recorded a partial show.)
Raisin Bran:
This was posted on the Tivo forums this morning:
I just got off the phone with Tivo tech support as I am having this same issue and missed the ending of 24 and Lost.
Apparently, it is a software issue and Tivo is working on a patch that will be downloaded automatically when your Tivo connects. He says until then, there is nothing we can do about it.
So it looks like we're out of luck until the patch comes through.
