I wonder if it does WEP. It's pretty hot.
ND -- you have a universal remote, right? Which one?

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I had the Logitech Harmony 880, which is their flagship, but my Plasma TV didn't like to play well with it so I ended up returning it. The fault was with my TV though, not the remote. My TV tends to be inconsistent with how long it takes to respond to the first remote input after you turn it on. This wreaks havoc with all of the macro based programming that these remotes depend upon. It's what I get for buying an odd brand Plasma TV.
Hmm. I read this review of the 880, and the idea of firing everything up at once--turning on the TV, making sure it's on TiVo input and goosing the TiVo, or switching stuff around for the DVD player? LOVE.
A few years ago I was in love with something Sony put out, but technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, as it is wont to do.
It really is an amazing remote and does everything it claims. I was quite bummed that my TV wouldn't play well with it. I love the 880 enough that I keep entertaining ideas of getting a different Plasma TV just so that I can have one that will work with that remote.
Yay! After a bit of struggling my home computer is now sharing it's printers with the Windows machines around it. I have triumphed over Samba and CUPS.
The trick was letting KDE automatically configure everything. So not so much my personal triumph.
This terminal program for OSX mimics a vintage glass teletype machine, with screen warpage and everything!
GLTerminal emulates a 1970’s terminal monitor, complete with flaws in brightness, warped display curvature, and flicker. It even simulates baud rate lag. And! for extra verisimilitude, the character colors can be green or amber.

That is a cool terminal program.
Okay, so I was able to get the side panel off of my tower and can tell where my on/off button should be, but I cannot get the front off or the other side.
I don't see any other screws -- how much force is generally needed to pull the cover apart? I mean, should I be using the claw part of my claw hammer?
Usually the cover will slide off somewhat before it can be pulled off completely. It's often not obvious which way to slide it.
Hmmm... there must be an online guide to getting case covers off. If I get some free time I'll look....
Oh, I'll look for it!
Thanks.
