Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I couldn't see anything unusual, Allyson.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Thanks for looking into it. I think someone just got hold of my rather crappy password. AOL makes me mad. But I'm just too attached. It always sends me flowers after it beats me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

may I ask why you are using AOL?

Why not?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I had really bad experiences with them in the past. I have been convincing my friends and family to leave AOL.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I don't have any sort of mobile phone internet thingie, but this sounds cool:

Google Mobilizer makes any web page mobile-friendly

If your favorite web site doesn’t offer a mobile version fit for viewing on your phone or PDA (ahem), pop the URL into the Google Mobilizer.

With or without images, the Mobilizer will display a stripped down mobile-friendly version of your page. Bookmark the Mobilizer on your phone for easy on-the-fly conversion.

For those who could use this, I'm curious as to how well it works.

Here's the actual Google Mobilizer site: [link]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Works great with this site! (posting from my phone right now)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

that's very cool. I don't use my phone for browsing a whole lot, but I'll have to remember that link.

(And back to the keyboard, since posting on a phone is difficult and annoying.)

The site loads *much* faster through the Google interface than it does by entering the URL directly -- all the styling information is stripped out, and you have the option to not display images. (Making the main difficulty the fact that I normally read 50 posts per page -- on a phone, that's a LOT of scrolling. But changing it to 5 worked like a dream.)

I'll have to play with this later - and maybe hook up my Wacom tablet....

Search By Drawing: Meet Retrievr & Search By Sketch Demos From Purdue & Princeton

First discovered by Tara (and also blogged by Barry, Philipp, and John) is an experimental search tool called retrievr that allows the user to find related Flickr images by drawing a sketch. Barry writes that it doesn't work too well while Philipp is more postitive. Tara notes it works well for browsing.
