Hmm, that would seem to indicate the problem is with WEP itself. Are you sure your HEX/ASCII settings and key lengths are the same on the router and laptop?

Ginger, Joe had a Treo and he *loves* it. I personally think the keys are a bit small, but Joe says you get used to it. It has allowed him to work without being at work in many circumstances. I know nothing about the Blackberry, however, so I can't really compare them.

As I've said here before, my Treo 650 is my favoritest electronic toy evar. I've never used a blackberry, though. Also, I primarily love the Treo for its PDA functions, not the web/email functions, which I don't use nearly as much.
If all you need is email, a lot of nicer non-smart phones offer email access. Maybe look into a Nokia 6820, which has a flip-out qwerty keyboard, can get POP/IMAP email, do IM, and also does have a WAP browser that would proabably work with the brand new m.gmail.com. It's a lot smaller and lighter than blackbery/treo, though it does less.
