Hey. New board.

Cool. Treo ordered. Heck, for $140 and renewing a contract on a number I've had for 7 years and don't see getting rid of anytime soon is a serious steal.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wait, isn't there supposed to be a duck?

I'm tempted to try that with my Mac Portable.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I actually recommended that a friend take hers in to TekServe -- she's been holding onto this machine for years because she doesn't want to lose the files that are on there, but she has no current way to read them or move them to another computer.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I stopped by Costco and they're selling the Nikon D50 kit (includes a 256MB SD card and an 18-55 Nikkor zoom) for $769.

I'm pretty committed to that being my birthday/Christmas present...can I wait that long, is the question?

I handled their shackled unit, and it's so light! And it did have batteries in. Weird feel, but basically similar to my current non-digital SLR.

Can I wait?

More Mac rumors:

Apple is planning to release its first entry-level iBook laptops with Intel processors next January at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, highly reliable sources have confirmed to Think Secret.

It is not known exactly what processors or price points the new models will debut at, but it is thought Apple will expand the iBook line with one additional model and will lower prices—in some cases possibly $200 or more—to entice current Windows users and prove to the market it will be more competitive with the likes of Dell, Gateway, HP and Sony.

Hey. New board.

An ssh client with a warning "pssh is probably INSECURE!" is funny.

Thanks, Tom. Both of those seem interesting.

So far, I'm hating the built in Palm contact list. It's just not flexible enough (I want to be able to display emails on the main contact page for people whose phone number i don't have, for example, and can't see a way to do it.) Is there a replacement out there?
