I just had a weird thing happen. I downloaded Firefox for Fedora. By the time I got around to installing it, it had disappeared. A friend found where it was supposed to be, but it was not there. So I downloaded it again. I installed it, and actually used it yesterday (I like!). Today, I went to open it, and the computer told me it can't find it. I haven't done a thorough search, and won't have time to do so tonight, because I would like to get a
little
sleep before work tomorrow (I'm weak that way), but I thought I would throw it out there in case anyone had heard of this happening before.

CaBil, I've had my first one for over three years with no significant problems -- I upgraded the space on it (it started with 14 hours!) with the weaknees pre-formatted drive a year or so ago. The second one I've had for two or more years -- the first week it developed a hard drive problem, which was cheerfully and efficiently replaced by TiVo. I ended up buying lifetime subscriptions on both of them, which has now been 'paid off'.
Yeah, Theodosia, I am contemplating the product lifetime subs, so it seems like a pretty good deal, since no one's tivo has failed to last that long...
I've had my Tivo two years with no problems. I'm pretty sure my lifetime subscription has paid for itself by now, but I actually have no idea what the monthly charge is these days.
That's about what I thought, so my lifetime sub's just finished paying for itself. That must mean it's time to get a second box.
I've had my Tivo for 4 years and it has beem almost trouble-free.
