Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

the next version of the Palm OS will be based on Linux. But it will still run Palm OS applications and have the Palm OS look and feel.

Okay, this, on the other hand, would rock.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

the next version of the Palm OS will be based on Linux. But it will still run Palm OS applications and have the Palm OS look and feel.

Ooh. That's better news.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Looks like Engadget deleted the original story.

EDIT: And the story that Engadget linked to is also gone.

A rumor that the PalmOS was going to go away, leaving Windows Mobile the only option.

Compassionately intolerant

Popping in for a recommendation re a pipe dream for dvd playing.

I don't have, and don't want a tv. But, I DO want a dvd changer and a dummy monitor that is not attached to a computer.

Do such things exist?

Where can I begin my research?

All I can find are computer monitors.

What's wrong with a TV? That's the simplest thing to connect to a DVD player. Is there something you need from a monitor that you can't get in a TV? That will help us help you.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Don't recall what thread I read it in but I'm sure I read someone mentioning GreenZap as an alternative to PayPal. On the off chance this isn't old news; it appears GreenZap might be a scam. This dude certainly thinks so ... [link]
