A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I've had mine for three or four years and have never had a problem. I think I've had to reboot it only a handful of times.

Sue, it was me not Wolfram who asked you about Firefox. Firefox is much less bloated than earlier version of netscape. It also seems more stable to me. So don't know if you are in a position to make suggestions at work - but if you are, you might want ask if they would consider adding Firefox as an option.

Sorry, Typo.

I am so not in a position to make any suggestions. I work for behemoth gubberment, and I don't think the decisions about what browser we use are even made in our Dept. I think someone way up the food chain decided it was IE for us all the way.

Ah sorry - out of bright ideas then.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I've had my Tivo for 3 years. About a year ago the hard drive got fried in a blackout, but it didn't take too long to get fixed and it's been great otherwise. I got the hard drive upgraded when I got it fixed.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I just had a weird thing happen. I downloaded Firefox for Fedora. By the time I got around to installing it, it had disappeared. A friend found where it was supposed to be, but it was not there. So I downloaded it again. I installed it, and actually used it yesterday (I like!). Today, I went to open it, and the computer told me it can't find it. I haven't done a thorough search, and won't have time to do so tonight, because I would like to get a little sleep before work tomorrow (I'm weak that way), but I thought I would throw it out there in case anyone had heard of this happening before.

Thanks!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

CaBil, I've had my first one for over three years with no significant problems -- I upgraded the space on it (it started with 14 hours!) with the weaknees pre-formatted drive a year or so ago. The second one I've had for two or more years -- the first week it developed a hard drive problem, which was cheerfully and efficiently replaced by TiVo. I ended up buying lifetime subscriptions on both of them, which has now been 'paid off'.

Yeah, Theodosia, I am contemplating the product lifetime subs, so it seems like a pretty good deal, since no one's tivo has failed to last that long...

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I've had my Tivo two years with no problems. I'm pretty sure my lifetime subscription has paid for itself by now, but I actually have no idea what the monthly charge is these days.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
