We're all clueless. My thinking is the easiest fix is a cheap USB hub.

I was going to suggest a USB hub, too. But I know fixing it is cheaper than buying something for it. I wish I had PC knowledge.

Oh, and what is the image quality/resolution of the downloaded shows? The same as the video iPod? (320x240) "VCR-quality"? What's the file size of a 44-minute TV show? And what is the viewing experience like if you watch in iTunes insteaf of on an iPod?

Right click My Computer then select Properties and click on the Hardware tab

In my really weird hardware news of the day, one of our customer service people just demonstrated to me that sharpening a pencil in our electric pencil sharpener causes her computer to generate a message that the network cable is unplugged.
