And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If you're talking about the DVD player or the VCR, those are toast.

The VCR, maybe, but it won't be the iPod that killed it.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Has anyone heard if/when other TV shows, etc. will be made available for download?

Our wings are not tired

So far I just see 5 shows listed. They are Lost, Desperate Housewives, Night Stalker, The Suite Life, and That's So Raven.

For both Lost and DH the entire previous season is available for download.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So, nobody owns or has any experience at all with PCs any more? It's all Macs in this thread?

Our wings are not tired

We're all clueless. My thinking is the easiest fix is a cheap USB hub.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I was going to suggest a USB hub, too. But I know fixing it is cheaper than buying something for it. I wish I had PC knowledge.

Yeah, that'd be my first suggestion. I have no experience with invisible ports.

You might try looking for something called "device manager". I'm on a W2K box right now, I don't know where to find it in XP.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, and what is the image quality/resolution of the downloaded shows? The same as the video iPod? (320x240) "VCR-quality"? What's the file size of a 44-minute TV show? And what is the viewing experience like if you watch in iTunes insteaf of on an iPod?
