I searched this thread and came up with a conversation that was had here regarding DVD players. Based on some ita recs, I just bought a Phillips 642 from Amazon.com.

Hey tech types, I need help (again....)
For some reason, my computer (a custom built Intel chipped PC, running XP) has stopped seeing my keyboard and mouse ports. I can get both to work by plugging them into USB adaptors and then plugging them into my USB ports, but I only have two USB ports, which leaves me unable to connect my printer and my UPS to the computer, let alone a camera.
If I want to print something out, I have to select the Print command, unplug the keyboard and plug in the printer, then click the Okay button.
Any advice on how I can diagnose and solve this problem? Get those ports working again?
