"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

No problems here - but this is hours after you posted.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Well, 30 minutes. And I still can't get to Google or Gmail, from either computer here.

Very strange.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Google has been out for me sporadically the last couple few days. Usually it's just the main service, but not news, etc.

I've been playing around with Mac Emulation on the PC. I'm not sure if this makes me an extreme Mac geek, or a Mac traitor.

But I have not only successfully run Mac OS X 10.3.4 in Windows XP, but connected to the internet with it.

Here's a screencap: [link]

ETA: if you ever try this? Have more RAM than I do. On a Pentium III/500 with 256mb Ram? Slooooooow.

hip deep in pie

I was haivng problems with Gmail the other day. But Strangely, only in IE, not in Netscape.

Trying to reply in Netscape crashes the browser, but that's a whole other issue.

Sue, have you upgraded to Firefox, or are you still in Navigator? (Re: crash issue).

Oh and thanks to all for the graphics recommendations, Christmas cards now made.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What did you end up using?

Yeah, IMHO your system is not adequate for running emulation. I'd throw lots of RAM and Ghz at the beastie....

A combination of Gimp, and painter25. Painter is basically a slight improvement over the paint progam that comes with XP, and is sufficient for most of what I do. Gimp seems to handle the rest, though right now I don't find the interface super-intuitive. Once I download the manual, I suspect it will get a lot easier.
