In this context I fear Unicode is being used somewhat as a buzz-word.
Or an excuse bandied about by one vendor so they can blame another vendor as to why their products won't interoperate.

I know! And "gifting"! Which I abhor as a verb, but it's some kind of legal transfer rights.
As for the video, I so very completely wasn't thinking of music vids -- I was all "who wants to wait to download movies? And then watch on an iPod screen? Eww!". I'm so out of touch with the youths of today.
otoh, I'm unconvinced that the world needs another photo slideshow program.
The iPods will have video out, so you could download movies and carry them around with you, even if you don't watch them on the small screen.
I can't think of much I'd want to watch on an iPod screen, other than a nifty screensaver. But people watch video on PDAs and PSPs.
The PSP screen is quite a bit larger than an entire iPod, and it's actually got a widescreen orientation to it, so it's not too bad for watching videos.
What the PSP has that is kinda silly is web surfing.

I can think of a whole lot of people who will be very happy to hear that. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to figure out how to support them....

Well, my point was that if a PSP is too small for me to comprehend viewing on, an iPod is right out.
