What printer does Distiller think you're printing to?

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Distiller is the printer. It's not asking about any hardware -- I'm selecting Distiller in the print dialogue from Visio.
Oh! Have you tried printing to file: postscript -- that is, print to your favorite Postscript driver and then open that file in distiller? Distiller is sometimes flakier when you print directly to it, and a two-step process (print to file, distill file) can help.
I want to get one of those things that are speakers that you plop your iPod into. Anyone have any suggestions of ones to get/not to get? I'm not getting any of the Bose ones, as I'm against paying $200 for speakers. $100 would be fine. $150 I'm a little against, but could be swayed.
Ideally, it would be the kind you put the iPod into, rather than just speakers that you have to do hooking-up stuff to (and aren't as pretty), but again, I could be swayed if arguments are good.
ita, do you have the entire Acrobat program? If so, you should be able to open the pdf in Acrobat and change the paper size to a custom size under the page set up from the file menu.
Dana, any scan of the logo can be used as a template in Illustrator and most can be easily redrawn. It gets a little more complicated if there are words as part of the logo, because you need to match the font.
I actually came in here to ask a question. I don't own a DVD yet and I'm thinking of buying one. My question is, do I have to worry about compatibility with my TV? I have a Phillips/Magnavox TV, can I buy a Sony or Toshiba DVD player?
No, I just have Reader and Distiller, it seems. Maybe I can get my hands on Acrobat somewhere else.
I'll give the two step a try too.
ita, you don't have the option to shrink to fit paper in Reader?
ETA: Or maybe I'm misunderstanding. You're trying to print to a 44 whatever paper?
I Reader in the print dialouge menu the third pull down menu says copies and pages, pull it down to Acrobat Reader and there is a shrink to fit check off.
I don't want to shrink to fit -- I want the image to be one Architectural E sized PDF.
Okay, in Reader, you need to:
1. File ==> Page Setup. Select Custom Paper Size under Attributes. Setup your custom paper size and give it a name. Save it.
2. Then switch to Page Attributes in Page Setup. Choose your new custom paper size.
If you go into Print Preview now, you should see your document setup correctly. I think.
