I think so, but I'll try leaving it off for longer this time. This will be about the millionth time this has been tried, though.
[yeah, I can hear it clicking, but nothing comes out. There's some kind of alignment problem.]
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

(Okay, screw this. I'm emailing our Apple account rep and making an Apple Store appointment.)
Have you ever tried a little eyesocket?
Of course I've had it in the ear before.

Okay, it's .mac renewal time for me again. I'm going to see if I can scrape up the bucks. Plus? I am looking for a cheaper one.

Anyone see any for less than $75?
Hey, Eddie, your suggestion of moving the RAM to a new slot worked on my G5. At least for the moment. Thanks!
I'm going to be, um, slightly unethical and try to sell it while it's working rather than continuing trying to diagnose a nebulous possible problem. Don't need the computer anyway. Will warn of instability to anybody buying, of course, and lower asking price accordingly.
Cool, glad I could help.
Whoa! Whatsmore, putting the 1 GB of RAM I thought it had killed into one of the slots worked now! So now it's back to 1.5 GB of RAM. Sweet.
Man, it's so much faster, too. It's amazing, 512 MB really isn't quite enough for Tiger with a billion big programs running. 1.5 GB is a good feeling.
