A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

How do you do it? What's involved? What equipment and software do you need? Can you set it up so it can also stream to other players, like Quicktime?

You create an mp3, and an XML file that refers to the mp3, and put them on a server. Users copy the XML link and put it in their iPods (or whatever) and it automatically downloads the mp3 for them.

Where are you starting from? Do you need to know how to make a recording and convert it to an mp3? Or do you have the mp3 and just need to know how to set up the XML file that podcasting players use?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Thanks Jon. We'll be using provided MP3s from musicians, so I don't need to record, so I guess I just need to know how to set up an XML file.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

When I try to log into my school email account through the webpage, I get a "Error trying to validate certificate from (server name) using OCSP - server is busy. Please try again later." message. Same thing when I try to get into gmail. It's been doing this since this afternoon. Any idea why? Hotmail is working fine, and I haven't been getting this message anywhere but gmail and my school email.

Your tag here.

Hil R., without getting into all of the details on how SSL works, it sounds like at least one of the Root Certificates on your PC has expired or been revoked. You might try correcting this issue by going to Windows Update (I'm assuming you're on a Windows PC) and look for a Root Certificate Update. Actually, since you're there, you might as well install all of the available updates.

Compassionately intolerant

It's been nearly 1200 posts since I've trolled Tech. Please forgive the not paying attention...

Lame Mac Q: I'm working on my trusty eMac with OS 10.1.5 (yes,yes,yes...still haven't done the upgrade) and OS 9.2.

I've got an HP Officejet4215xi USBed and it works peachy in OSX but in the 'classic' environment (Word, to be specific), I can't find the printer in the Chooser, despite having downloaded and reinstalled the drivers.

I'm assuming it is possible to print from both environments but am flummoxed about getting them to work togther.

Ideas?

All is well that ends in pizza.

You may have to install the drivers in Classic mode again.

Thanks Dan. That is the driver I used, but (duh) I installed it with classic open on the OSX desktop. Der. I'll redo it when I get home this afternoon.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I just installed a weaknees new hard disk in my Tivo and man, that wasn't a problem at all. It didn't even take the 30 minutes that they estimated.

If I only had a brain...

I think that's one of the best pieces of technical documentation I've ever seen.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

You aren't wrong. They did a nice job.
