Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Dan, email me your mailing address, and I'll send it out this week. (Bubble-wrapped, it should fit in a flat-rate Priority envelope.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Found the Launchcast requirements. No OS X.

So, I have a OS X question.

Right now, all PDFs are automatically opening in Preview, not in Reader. Is there a way for me to change that? And if so, how?

Also, if you don't have one or haven't seen the mighty mouse, it's AWESOME. I love the two button feel/one button look and the excellent scroll nubbin.

TiVo offering a $150 rebate through November 27th.

The article mentions you can get TiVos for less than $150.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ooh, maybe it's time to upgrade. Assuming I ever get my connection probs figured out.

Well, hmph.

Kat, if you select any PDF and go to Get Info, there's an option near the bottom to select the default application, and it should say "Use this application to open all documents like this" or something to that effect.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Find a pdf, Get Info (open apple + I) and it gives you an option to change the default program for this doc or all docs like it.

For a better explanation, someone needs a Mac in front of them. Or I can check tomorow. The short answer is, yes, you can.

eta: Or just wait for Jessica. Which is actually usually a really good idea.

Also, if you don't have one or haven't seen the mighty mouse, it's AWESOME. I love the two button feel/one button look and the excellent scroll nubbin.
I've had a two-button scrolly mouse for ages and I can't imagine computing without it.

Absolutely. You will pry my Logitech MX700 from my cold dead hands. Unless you want to offer me an MX1000 to replace it with.

Bless both of you!

I have a two button scrolly cordless on my desktop, and a regular one on my Mac Mini. But on the school laptop, I just had a touch pad. Until the Mighty Mouse which I love.

Any OS X users use the Fire IM client? How does it stack up to Trillian?

I bought a mouse for my laptop, and it's very pretty, but I finally took the batteries out and put it away, since my laptop is very often in my lap, and I love the touchpad.

I do miss mouse gestures, though.
