Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
It's a Zenith. I don't know more about it, because it was my father's. My brother took it when he died (in '95) and then gave it to me when he got a new tv. So, it's more than 10 years old. It's doomed, isn't it?
Your Zenith may have seen its nadir.
I'll see if I can find my TV repair link, it might give us some idea of how big of a job it is.
Try turning it off and unplugging it for a few minutes.
Can't hurt.
Okay.
Well, that appears to have worked . . . but I think I better be pricing out tvs when I'm out in the general shopping area.
(I unplugged it for 5 minutes, then plugged it back in -- still not fullscreen, so I turned it off and turned it on again and it was back. Whew.)
Yeah, that's typically one of the signs of a TV tube about to give up the ghost.
Your Zenith may have seen its nadir.

Bastard.
So I'm trying to import an album I ripped off a CD I own into iTunes' library. And... it won't. Just sits there. I don't get an error message or anything: it just doesn't import.
It's .mp3 files, nothing complicated. Anyone got any advice?
