Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It worked without even the toggling.

Whatever it was doing in the 2 hours frozen really sucked the battery low, though.

Thanks!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Consuela, if you are hooking a Tivo via this means, Linksys is recommended.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have this Linksys router, and it's been reliable for the past 2+ years. (They've got similar Wireless-G models now that are faster, but I'm too lazy to upgrade.)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I have the same router as Jessica and it's been reliable with my computers and the TiVo. Well, until the big lightning storm a couple of weeks ago when my entire network got fried....

But I bought another of the same router because of it's reliability.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I've had luck with both Linksys and DLink.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I've got a Dlink and ithas worked well for me.

In FRIED COMPUTER news, I remembered last night that I already had a spare hard drive on this computer. I've now installed XP on the drive, after disconnecting the infected drive from the IDE chain.

I've already downloaded and run the sasser fix from Symantec, and found this drive to be uninfected. Some time this weekend, I will reconnect the infected drive and try to recover it.

Our wings are not tired

I've got Apple, Linksys, Netgear, and Dlink routers. At the moment all of them are 802.11g and they all work great.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have a Belkin router, and it works great.

LeN, haave you tried the transfer to TiVo yet? I'm not sure if I'll be bothering to prep files for transfer, but I discovered a cool thing! All the shows I offloaded to my computer are now accessible again! My network connection is wireless, so it's not quite streaming, but still. Nifty as all hell.

Funny you should ask me this. I'm just going to try it right now. I just got the software upgrade. The above, is cool. I'm going to see if this is true!
