I don't keep the headset in my ear when I'm not on a call, unless I just haven't gotten around to putting it away yet. I do know people who wear them around their necks, so very useful for them. Me, I use them to make calls and not answer them -- I reach for the phone when it rings, so I can tell who it is. If the headpiece told me, I might reach for that instead. I do prefer taking the calls that way, after all.
