It worked once, but the first few times I tried, it just opened up a blank page.
Buffistechnology 2: You Made Her So She Growls?
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Perkins, you could try Firefox [link] for that site.
I'm not sure how well it performs on OS X, but I know Windows and Linux work very well.
Noise Design got me looking at Hybrid SUVs...
Open this in IE and then click on Hyperview... waaay cool!
But don't open it in Firefox as it will cause your browser to crash (or it did mine anyway). Clearly a message from g*d that Hybrid SUV's are eeeevil.
Thanks, Dana! Unfortunately I can't use it to get to Squidge, but it would be exactly what I was looking for if it did!
Has anyone else had a problem with their iPod's clickwheel ceasing to, you know, work?
It still clicks but won't spin.
Sounds like the touch-sensitive capacitor thingy may have died on you, Lilty. Since the buttons on the clickwheel are physical, they will continue to click when that happens.
My suggestion is take it to an Apple Store if you have one handy. If you've under warranty (do you have AppleCare on your iPod? Cuz you should get it if you don't and it's not too late. That goes for everybody.) they should replace it or repair it as necessary.
I don't have AppleCare, but I do have the protection plan from Best Buy, so that should cover it. It was sort of going gradually- it was getting hard to scroll, and I thought maybe it was just the cover I had getting sticky or something. But I took it off today and it was clean and all good, and now there is no scrolling at all.
Poor Wesley.
My browser is doing weird things.
I just downloaded Yahoo Instant Messenger.
Right after that I can't keep two browser windows open. When I go to click the IE icon or right click a link and pick "open in a new window" the current window closes and a new one opens.
I have Internet Explorer 6. Microsoft XP.
