Is there anything you all like for setting up mailing lists?
I agree with amych. Google groups is nice. And I think the file/photo space is most likely coming eventually, it's still in beta mode.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

I created a google group. Amy and D. you are awesome, this is just what I was looking for.
Replacing the power supply did indeed bring the TiVo back to life. I couldn't have done it if I hadn't upgraded the TiVo before, though; unlike hard drive upgrades, WeakKnees power supply replacements come with *no* tools and completely inadequate instructions. If I didn't already know my way around the Tivo's carcass, I'd have been lost.
So what you're saying is I should get the powersupply AND the upgrade, Betsy? :)
Unless you have a lifetime subscription for your existing TiVo, I'd just buy a new one -- TiVo's giving 'em away free at the moment if you buy service -- and put a new drive in that.
No one knows the answer to my Flash question? My blind faith is crushed.
I'm shopping around for a digital camera. I want something that is relatively inexpensive, decent quality, and *small*. Something that I could just cart around in my purse. The Concord 5040 looks like it might be what I'm thinking of, but I know nothing about what to look for in a camera. Nothing.
Help?

Flash question?
Dana:
Go to the very last frame of the movie and right- or control-click; select Actions, and find Stop under, I think, Movie. (It's been a few months since I used Flash, but the stop command should be somewhere in the Actions window.)
