The Tribeca Grand Hotel has just announced their new iStudio:
The "studio" is geared to weekend Spielbergs. Here are the specs:
*a fully-loaded G5 computer outfitted with film, photo and sound editing software.
*iSight cameras
*a user-friendly video conferencing camera with integrated microphone that will allow guests to have face-to-face chats with friends, families, co-workers and even Tribeca Grand's staff.
*Apple wireless keyboards, Apple wireless mouses and a built-in Bluetooth module.
*iPod and BOSE Sound Dock
Those are as good as reasons as any for switching to AVG.
Tricksily, the evaluation version only allows one update, which it performs right after install. So I couldn't learn about the reboot until after I shelled out for 6 months. When that expires, it's onto AVG. Curse that coin toss.
For future reference, I quote "I am sorry to inform you, Panda can not work properly with Eudora, and Panda supports only Outlook Express and Outlook."
I take too much for granted.
See, I want an iPod that is also a handy PDA. (But I want it to be as useful/well connected to my mac/able to hold as many songs as my iPod, which I don't think exists in current PDAs-that-can-play-music). I don't want a cellphone with PDA, unless i could like, detach the cell part. I don't even want a cellphone with camera. There are times when I want to carry my cell, but not have it take up SPACE. The PDA cells are way too big to fit in a small pocket when going out at night. OTOH, I take my iPod most-but-not-all places. Which is where I'd take a PDA. Come on, Apple! Work it out for me! Um, in a couple years, when I'm wanting a new iPod anyway.

Are porn theme music tracks and audio loops on the iPod?
I want an iPod that is also a handy PDA.
This has been doable, in a limited way, for several years now. As I understand it, the iPod's advantage is in memory size and battery life, but what's available through a PDA isn't too shabby.
My Clié is more than three years old, and being able to play .mp3s was one of its selling points. Each of my 128Mb memory sticks holds two hours of music, and my PDA case holds five of them, plus the one that rides in the Clié itself. Changing sticks every two hours is not really a hardship. I still get six hours of .mp3 time out of a full charge.
I know that memory cards for Palms are up to at least 516Mb now. I don't know what battery life is like on the current model Palms, though.
ita, have you ever done a comparison between your T5 and your iPod?
I have a 1 GB card sitting here waiting for my arriving-tomorrow Dell Axim. It was $75 shipped and taxed (the card, not the PDA) through newegg.com. I expect mp3s and even Divx movies (maybe The Inside, since I don't really have time to watch it now. Airplane viewing!)
Still, the points about integration are quite important: this won't sync with iTunes, it won't even play ITMS songs, and it's only vaguely supported on a Mac at all.
Yeah, see, I want it to be all nice and sych-y, and I want it to hold multiple gigs (I mean...I didn't get a minipod for a reason, but if it even had like, 4-5 gigs, i could probably live with having the important musics!)
Partly this is me rebelling against the "cellphone does EVERYTHING!" thing that seems to be happening--I don't want my cellphone to do everything! Just be a cellphone!!

Battery charge while playing music-wise? No -- I've never bothered to load it up. In fact, I don't have a memory card, since my non-music stuff doesn't take up enough space to warrant one.

I want a blender attachment for my cellphone so I can mix margaritas....
