I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So, now that I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on my powerbook purchase -- I should wait until after the 15th?

At some point, Apple should make an announcement that new systems purchased after a certain date will be able to upgrade to Tiger for free.

Trust my rage

I should wait until after the 15th?

Unless you really want it now. A few times they have offered the newer software at a reduced price to people who bought new computers in the last 2 months, say, but don't fall in the shorter window. If you are in no rush, I'd wait for Tom's announcement.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I wish it wasn't Comcast, but better that than no TiVo.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I just hope TiVo will still work for non-Comcast subscribers.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just hope TiVo will still work for non-Comcast subscribers.

Yeah, Comcast and Time Warner are always beefing here, taking channels of TW's lineup and stuff. I'd be concerned if I had Time Warner Cable and a TiVo. Especially because TWC has their own DVR dealie.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ugh, I hope that won't be an issue. AFAIK, Comcast isn't available in my neighborhood.
