Our wings are not tired

Is the printer connected to the network or to the Mac USB port? I've got an HP on my network that works with my Macs and PC's with no worries.

If it is on the Mac do you have the "share this printer" option turned on? Once I get home I'll have to check just where that setting is located.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Another option, Jessica:

Motorola WPS870G 802.11g Print Server for $50 shipped after rebates
CompUSA.com offers the Motorola WPS870G 802.11g Print Server, part no. 512723-001-00, for $159.99. Three mail-in rebates, totaling $110, chop the net price to $49.99. That's $80 less than the next best price we could find. Add one cent for shipping. Rebates end March 10.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

To the Mac's USB port.

If it is on the Mac do you have the "share this printer" option turned on?

And for the third time, yes, printer sharing is turned on.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Nebbermind, figured it out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If I want to plow through archives for articles on Citrix -- which online trade pubs would be the best places to start?

Jesus Christ. Anybody know how to fix a .pst on a Mac? Outlook 2001 helpfully did not include scanpst.exe, and I am adrift.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone use The Gimp? Can anyone tell me how to make a certain color transparent on a .gif file? (I'm using The Gimp on a Windows XP machine at the moment.)

I have no Gimp help files, it seems.

eta: Nebber mind. Google was my friend.

The answer was on the non-intuitive side....

Even if it doesn't work, you may be able to get a working solution from these people.

Hey. New board.

tommyrot: If you did it a complicated way, then, for future reference, the easiest way is just using the "color->alpha" filter for that color. Anything that is purely alpha will get transformed into transparency during gif export - more flexible than "pick a color to pretend is transparent" in the long run as it allows for blending and such, but less intuitive than in simpler programs.

Does Photoshop (which I'm SURE works the same way, converting alpha sections to transparent after flattening) make it more intuitive than putting it in the "Filters" folder? I don't really know Photoshop very well.
