Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, and another question before I run out the door.

I took my iPod out for a walk yesterday, and by the end was unpleasantly aware of a random ticking noise I was getting when I left the iPod hanging in my jacket pocket. I didn't get the tickign noise when I carried it in my hand.

There wasn't anything in the pocket for the iPod to hit against -- it seemed to be just the motion that did it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I contact Apple? I registered my iPod, but I don't have the receipt (I don't think), as it was a gift. I assume it's under warranty...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Gmail is dead to me! Dead, dead, dead, dead, dead!

(anyone else?)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Mostly lurking...

It's dead to me too. And I need to get in there, damn it! There may be important messages since I last checked it 20 minutes ago!

Yup. All morning.

All is well that ends in pizza.

It's a beta service. We've been fortunate for as much up time as we've gotten so far.

They are probably implementing something.

I hope.

Yay! It's back -- right after the guy I was waiting for email from gave up and dropped by the house.

A straightforward (i.e. not very geeky) look at the problems associated with running outdated operating systems (eg Windows 98, Mac OS 9). Lists the various Mac and Windows OSs from Windows 95 and Mac OS 8 up to the present, what each OS can and can't do, and the level of support each receives from MS/Apple.
